Having so many issues with my Monte recently.

Started it up to move it a little bit ago (I had driven previously in the day with no issues). I had a warning about my traction control and brake system pop up. My tach and gauges went to 0 on everything (RPM, Speed, fuel) and it wouldn't display the gear I was in.

I could shift into reverse and move, however when in gear and moving down the road it would not shift out of 1st gear. Pulled off and tried to restart the car, when restarting it at first it wouldn't turn over at all. Eventually I got it fired back up and limped it home.

I have had the following codes from my cheap freebie scanner
PO300 (random cylinder misfire - have been fighting this code off and on for 2+ years)
PO442 Evap Emission control system small leak
then another evap code but I can't remember the code.

In the past year I have had
plugs and wires replaced
MAF sensor replaced
front and rear breaks replaced
Serpentine belt replaced.

I have an appointment tomorrow to have it looked at but have no idea what to expect. Was wondering if anybody might have some suggestions so I dont get completely -bleeped- at a repair shop.
