05 LT all kinds of electrical fun
So my monte has decided to loose its marbles. Wife went shopping and came back to the car to have the blower motor running full tilt (it's 30F so not trying to cool anything), and the car would not start.
I showed up to look at it , and the radio is making random noises, turning itself on and off, and the fuel pump keeps kicking on and off without the key in the ignition.
Tried a jump start to see if we could at least get it home, but no luck, the blower motor seems to draw as fast as it can charge. I also pulled the blower fuse from the door/dash fuse box and it continued to run.
Anyone have any idea what is going on? It almost seems like the PCM has gone haywire.

I would start by having your battery fully charged and tested. Since these cars have a lot of computer and electronics in them, a battery reaching end of life can cause a LOT of weird random issues.
If that is not the issue, then the next item I would suspect is the BCM (Body Control Module) not the PCM (Performance Control Module).

Picked up a battery over lunch, will swap it tonight (it was a bit weak to begin with)
Hopefully that's all it is, might also look for a loose ground if I can slide under the car. And thanks for the correction, I ment BCM, typed PCM.

Replaced the battery, it was the same one the car left the factory with in 2005. Fan immediately turned on, but everything else is back to normal. I disconnected the blower motor power cable. And will troubleshoot further once I can pickup a multi meter. Problem is hopefully either the blower motor or the HVAC controls in the dash.
