05 Chevy Monte Carlo Developing an Odor
it sounds like your ac box is developing an odor. from the condensation developed by your evaporator core. take it to the dealer and they will install a wiring kit that will operate you blower motor at different periods after shut down. this will dry your evaporator core and eliminate the odor. also they will put a coating on the evaporator core itsself. ive installed a few of these on vehicles and it seems to be very effective. good luck.
this is the only service bullitin in this area of concern on the ntsa site

i was gonna see whats on gms website. their stuff changes every day. ive never used the website you linked, but if i find something on the gm site ill paste it in a thread, but they dont necessarily need a bulletin to do the fix on the a/c. basically they may look for a part number. but ive done this on a couple of cars from tahoes to s10s to cavaliers. ill let you know tomorrow when i get to work.
here is a document i found that your dealer will be able to find on the gm service information website. Document ID# 787457
2005 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
this is showing to install the evap core coating and how to dry the core. they should have no trouble helping you. all they have to do is a document search. another thing i was wondering about, your dont have water on your passenger floor do you. ive run into problems where the water deflector under the cowel panel is falling off and letting water into the blower box. i dont know why they deisgned it this way but if i ever touch one i put sealer on the mounting surface because there isnt much holding it on. i had a car i had to remove the whole interior and let air dry a week. that may also be something for them to check. good luck, and remember its their job to make you happy.
