04 ss a/c compressor

im back again...quick question...i got a 04 monte ss...for some reason my a/c compressor kicks on even when i use the heat when the a/c button is not pushed. is this a normal thing with these monties?

Not sure about the rest of the settings, but it will definitely kick in on the defrost settings.

Yes it should only kick on when you have the defrost setting selected.
