Opinion Needed: 01 monte carlo coolant coming from the front exhaust manifold.
I am in the process of putting new head gaskets on my 01 monte. it all started when I had coolant blow from between the gasket and the block on the front exhaust manifold, other than the obvious exhaust manifold gasket and more than likely ( or as I assume) head gaskets, any opinions on repairing?
I'm really confused as to how that's even possible. Are you sure the head gasket didn't blow externally and squirt coolant out onto the exhaust manifold?
That exhaust manifold gasket had to have already been toast if coolant came out of it from a blown head gasket. I would just be surprised that it sucked enough coolant to keep that cylinder from firing/ evaporating the coolant but not so much that it hydro locks the engine. Super lucky if that was the case.
No good suggestions from me other than to tear into it and replace all of the top end gaskets.

I'm not entirely sure how it blew like it did but it was definitely a strange thing to see happen. Lol. I appreciate your advice, I'm gonna do as you said and replace the gaskets and hopefully have her back running down the road again. I'll post any progress. Thanks again.
