occasionally my battery light will come on and voltge meter will drop to 0. checked battery and alternator so i'm guessing bcm? Also the bcm u get from parts house is plug and play right> other than the programing dealer would do like mileage and vin.

No, it must be programmed. Car wont function/start if you just plug it in.

 

Really!? Someone forgot to tell the BCM that! bought one from autozone $94 installed it, reset security crap and problem fixed!!!! Only thing that doesnt work is airbags cause vin on BCM doesnt match.

It was probably already programmed being a reman BCM or customer return. A new one from GM is blank and will not do anything.
