X3 on the lithium grease! It's all I've ever used on my doors, and the squeaking goes away for a year or more.

I have another suggestion for those that live in colder climates where snow/ice is a regular thing in the winter. While you're spraying your door hinges, door catch and door springs with lithium grease, open the door all the way and spray the door seal with silicone spray. It not only preserves the rubber, but also forms a protective layer that helps prevent the door from freezing shut on those sub-zero nights. One coating around Halloween lasts practically all winter long.

X4 on the lithium grease, Sprayway #715 industrial works great, picked up a case on Amazon cheap, use it on any hinges, lock mech., just have a rag ready to wipe up the overspray.

Over time, most uni-body frame cars will develop squeaks and rattles. Old Fox body Mustangs were notorious for creaky door, windows, dashes etc. However, aftermarket sub frame connectors could tighten things up considerably. Too bad none are available for a W body.

Yes, very temporary, and the smell lasts longer than it works.

I hear ya..

I put a generous helping of white lithium grease on both of my door hinges and even in the tracks of the sunroof not to long ago- the car no longer squeaks when the doors are opened or closed, not does the sunroof vibrate when it's opened or closed.

lets see...i guess i should get something to put in the sunroof tracks shouldnt i? everytime i open it, it vibrates like a train is going by...probably not good for it...also, sometimes when it is cold and i warm up my car with the floor/defrost heat really fast my whole dash kinda squeaks and moans...i think its just because it is moving with the car as i hit a bump or go on my gravel road...but still, should it do this?
