Default [6th gen] Door squeaking?

My 04 MC's driver door would squeak a little bit when I opened it all the way. It got on my nerves, it's a new car, not supposed to do that. So I stopped by the local auto part store and picked up some Liquid Wrench L4. It's a foaming penetrant and lubricant made with CERFLON, whatever that is. Sprayed some on the door brackets, squeak is gone!!

WD-40 is a very temporary solution as is Liquid wrench. You will want to get some grease in there and that will last longer. You will still need to do this every so often.

Also check for premature wear on the door bushings. That can occur if the doors are slightly off or people slam your doors.

Also try lubing up the door spring too.

My driver's door was squeaking like crazy and bugging me. I used some spray on white lithium grease on the hinges and the piece that holds the door open also.

Door opened and closed easier. But still sqeaked like crazy. I sprayed the door spring and the noise went away.

X2 on the white lithium grease. Once on the hinges it's just a matter of redoing yearly.
