Historically speaking it has not rained on the day of judging. If I do run into rain I am well prepared to get Precious sparkling better than new. I don't care if it rains after I get there, I'm just concerned with driving in it because of the gazillion hours I spent cleaning the engine compartment and undercarriage. But if I do I will have access to my friend Denis's jack in case I have to take off the wheels to clean them again.

 

Spent 20 hours this weekend getting the car ready. That did not include any work on the engine or interior; figured I'll hit those areas after the drive down. I'm sore as all hell but the paint looks like glass.

Need to throw the front end cover on the car (probably Thursday) and install the new headlights sometime this week. For now, I'll probably just put 2+ layers of painters tape over the headlights to protect them during the drive down, and then do the same for the drive back.

Four more days (for myself). Really looking forward to this.

Worked on doing the engine bay....as well as touching up paint chips.

Between the humidity,heat... im whipped...With still so much more to get done...(Final Detailing)... Im having a real hard time in these temps outdoors, I guess im not as young as I use to be....LOL...

I guess you could say I let this car get way to far out of control as far as detailing goes!.... If I cant finish up everything...by myself... Then its just gonna have to do!

Just have a few things to pack up for the trip...

but for the most part the Monte is done... Once again this heat and humidity is more than I can bare....Im looking forward to seeing and meeting EV1 from the forum that I haven't met.

I will definitely be sporting my MCF T !!! Among others...(all Chevrolet) of course....hehehehehe

Yea that's too bad a lot of effort gone into cleaning and rain may hit but what can you do.
