I am so NOT ready for this! But I'm going ready or not. Looks like I got a chance to hire the neighbor boys for a couple of days. I got 6 vehicles, 4 of which need working on, including the Intimidator. It'll work out.

 

Spent 5 hours just underneath the Deuce today. Her undercarriage is like new and got 50% of her stainless exhaust done looks like chrome now. Will be working on her like a mad ferret until Wednesday.

Made a decision....

I deceided to "not" get the aftermarket wheels...

Lets face it... It is what it is...a 14 year old Monte Carlo.... Ive done all I can to make the paint the best it can be without haveing to repaint it...I figure it this way... The more original it is the more represents what it truely is...
Putting new after market wheels on it is like putting lipstick on a pig....
It just doesnt fit!
Im going to do my level best to make the original wheels look the best they can be...and thats gonna have to be good enuff... If....
It turns out they dont appreciate it for what it truly is..in its original condition....Than whats the point? It's more about for me. keeping it real.... Just being able to attend The MonteCarlo Nationals and shareing/being a part of the experience!

 

David, I was HOPING to get my aftermarket Eagle Alloy chrome 077's repaired. Just didn't happen. My wheels are what they are also.

Maybe I could paint them yet.

 

I am so ready for this - only spent the last 1.5 months working on it to make it look better than new.

 

Gosh I hope it don't rain. Amy has it ever rained on judging day?

 

Trying to work on my Monte as much as possible, but I just got promoted last week and I have been driving a different car and doing training so having time to work on the monte seems impossible!! Going to do a ton tomorrow and everyday after work this week.

Can't wait to go!!

 

Ah going to need a cold one when I get there 5 hours under the car made me sore another full day tomorrow

 

God I hope it doesn't rain, especially during the drive down. I spend 8 hours just on the wheel wells and cleaning/polishing up the wheels yesterday. Today is wash etc., and finally getting to clay bar and wax.
