I agree its 8hr drive for me but i wanna go..never know how close it will be after this...ill spend 400.00 for the weekend big deal..you only live once..

While you're not alone in that thinking, a "history" is why some people go to the GM Nationals, instead of the MC Nationals. Plus, as many point out, the GM Nationals offer a heck of a lot more, in terms of awards and activities.

I'm all-too familiar with both sides of this issue, as I'm friends with people on both sides of the yard. Frankly, it's as frustrating as Ch#$r%*et ... which is why I try my hardest to keep out of those discussions. It helps that I'm not able to visit the boards/forums/groups much anymore...LOL.

*sighs*

To me, though, it's about the people ... which is why I'm attempting to visit both shows this year, even if only for ~3 hours each. I already know I will not be able to see everyone, but I sure hope to see many people at each show. We'll see how it goes......

looks like I'm 1 step closer to going.... I booked a room tonight for Friday and Saturday!!!!!

Cool...Im having my tranny serviced tomm on my 87,8hr drive for me, dont wanta take any chances.Never been done since i $$$ her 2 yrs ago...figure its due at 90k...Maybe gas prices will drop before show....but im not gonna hold my breath...

Gas prices around here have dropped almost 30 cents already.

I checked the count on the first page. Looks like 7 MCF members so far. That's awesome! I'm looking forward to this trip (for me it's 6 hours away). I think it will be a great chance to meet-n-greet with people from this forum!

What i cant believe is thats all that have signed up..It may not be that close for us for many yrs to come..

Drove out to indiana last year to meet with Chris at the nats, i don't know if i could do the drive to PA like i did indiana, short notice, pritty well broke, Chis OVERPAYED me to detail his car... 11 hrs wasn't horid but i think 18 would be a bit much since i'd end up having to drive strait there and back, plus my monte still isn't done...

I so wish I can go to this but it's too far for me too and I can't take time off of work. I'm just praying that the mini meets are in my neck of the woods.

The only thing im worried about is breakdowns w/my car being a 87..Im gonna be going 55 down 81 all the way...
