this is from the NMCOA site about booking rooms for the Monte Nationals in June! There has been a bunch of talk over there about rooms not being available for the event. I tried doing the online booking and it said there are no rooms available for the days I was booking for, Friday and Saturday!

this was posted on March 1

1) Because we have more and more members coming in on Wednesday and Thursday, our block was full for Thursday night. That is now being adjusted.... so, that problem will/should no longer exist. If you tried to book your stay and it included Thursday night, the system shows that the block is full.
2) When calling in, you should not be transferred to the Holiday Inn central reservations. All NMCOA reservations should be handled in-house. If you did, or do, get transferred to central... anything could and usually does happen! Let them know that you want to book in-house!
3) Do NOT book online! Period!
4) We cannot account for human error..... theirs or ours.....

I'm still planning on it Mike! I almost had to take drastic measures at work a couple weeks ago because there is another person in my department that is also off on the Friday that I was planning on taking off. I told my boss either I get it off or I call it off and he said that might not be a wise decision, so I told him that I don't ask for much and he needs to get it done for me, and he did........

short answer: yes I'm still planning on it....

I wish it was closer to me. I'm praying that one of the 2 mini meets are in my neck of the woods.

Just wondering.....how can I find out the difference in judging criteria of the Monte Nationals compared to the GM Nationals? Which of the 2 would you think would have the most 6th and 7th gen Montes, and considering what has been done to my Monte, what category would I be????

I would think you could be judged by judges in class 9, or just do the park and party class where participants vote. No idea the amount of 6th Gens

OK, it's official, I just submitted the form with payment to join the club then I will fill out the form and pay to participate in the show..... But now, good question, wonder which class I should sign up for.... Do I go Class 9 or just do the park and party?? I'm leaning on class 9.
I'm not expecting to win anything, but, hey, it's all in good fun!

I think at last years nationals there were about 10 cars in my class - 2000-2003 SS and 3 awards were given out in my class. There weren't too many cars in the 2004-2007 SS maybe around 6. And there weren't too many in the 95-2007 non SS class.
There were tons of 4th gen montes there.
