Ill do the GM nationals next year. But I couldn't pass up the opportunity of Monte Nationals only being 30 min from me, since it changes all the time... but Carlisle is only a little over an hour from me as well.

 

That was my reasoning too!

 

I wish I could make it. I don't know what to do. My wife may or may not be home from the hospital yet, that weekend. Before she got sick, I was working almost every weekend at my new job (ironically that I took to get off of working weekends). Because of this I kept putting off joining the Monte Club, so its probably too late to do so now and make it to the Monte Nationals show. I guess I could still go to the GM nationals? What a bad year its been so far.

Don't forget your fire extinguishers if you are showing your car on the field. I just picked mine up for $21.74 at Wal-Mart.

 

Man I wish It was closer to me. I'd like to go to it. But I just got this job. And I don't think they would understand. I hope all of you that go. Have GREAT weather and have afantastic time. PLEASE take a lot of pictures. So us that can't make it at least can enjoy the pictures. We have this weekend here in Minn. Back to the 50's car show. Last yr they had over 11,000 car's & trucks. I might get a chance to go to that. Depends when my Chevelle is ready and the weather looks iffy at best. Have a good time all. Post where the next one is going to be at next yr. Hope its closer to me. I'll have time in by then to take a vacation.

 

Thanks for the reminder about the fire extinguisher!! I picked up a loaner to bring with me. It's fully charged and has yet to be used (and hopefully never has to be used).

Now I have to really get cracking on some detailing!!

as usual for me! I'm on again, off again! I may be there with a friend of mine? I gotta get a few/bunch of things done also, including a fire extinguisher, detail job, etc. I'm always last minute on everything, I guess that is just my normal self.... I have Friday off and the plan was to leave here by noon??? And hopefully be there for Monte check-in by earlyish 5 or so?? Actually, now that I'm looking at the schedule, I guess I should leave 2 hours earlier for Friday registration/check-in between 1:30 and 5 pm. If you see someone wondering around completly lost, that will be me....

 

Don't worry chris I have no idea when I'm gonna get a good detailing either! I also won't get there until saturday lol. I will be the blind man wandering then
