I dont wanna cause a stir but out of alll the car shows I have been to, I felt that that show was a big waste of time. I felt that the judges had there minds made up before they even judged the cars... Im not saying this because I didnt win anything, I just felt like I was already put out of the competition because I "altered" my car from stock. They said they would take craftsmenship and time into the eqaution, but after they spent 2 min looking at my car, I already knew. Im just saying that if this show is in my backyard... I wouldnt go again. AND i got a flat tire on the trailer on the way home :-P

 

Well it is obviously going to be more oriented towards the older generations of Montes and the preservation of a classic car. It's just a good way to hang out with other people who love Monte Carlos.

 

Yes, that aspect was great and I loved meeting everyone, but the show just wasnt for me.

 

My 87 definately isnt a show car..just a driver, but its fun meeting fellow enthusiats of montes..

 

I was planning to go in the non-judged class, just to meet people. The wife's health problems probably won't allow me to go to the show all day, but I may see if I can swing by the hotel one evening and try to say "hi" that way.

 

Im staying at the holiday express down the road...save my son /I a spot to shoot the breeze at nite...Im bringing a cooler...haha..

 

Anyone can feel free to come see me at the GM Nationals. There will be lots of stuff to do and see there.
