Lightbulb Is your old thread missing?

So I and many others here were disappointed to see most (if not all) the old threads have disappeared. The threads you're looking for are most likely stored in our newly created archive.

To access the archive, go all the way down to the bottom of the page. In the purple stripe going across the screen, you'll see some site links. Like "Advertising Information", "Contact Us", and a couple others. One of them is "Archive".

Clicking on the word "Archive" should bring you into another screen with a list of all the different sections of the site. In each section are most of the threads from before the software change on friday. The threads are listed from oldest to newest. So you'll have to go to the last page of threads to find the newest threads.

Once you click on the thread you're looking for, you'll have to get it into the full view in order to post in it. Once you or someone posts into the thread, it will be automatically moved from the archive to the active list.

Hope this helps.

i think that most people will find that if they change the length of display time at the bottom of a section, the old posts will show up.

That worked for me. Go to the User CP, edit options, and change the "default thread age cut off" to "show all threads" and they will be back! YEAH! The ONLY ones I haven't seen are the For Sale and Wanted to Buy sections, which only go back to 1-24-09. Don't see that as being a big problem, but a FEW more would've been nice. We can live with that.
