As an administrator, don't you have the authority to do this Taz?

 

 

I had that exact conversation with admin Patrick. I even asked if he could do it. But neither of us have the authority to do that anymore.

Ever since the major virus attack on the servers last year, the owners have taken a very defensive stance on who has access to stuff.

All the forums owned by AutoForumUniverse are in the same boat as us. Their admins are a lot more limited as to what they can do now also. Only the techs have access to make changes to the forums.

Even something as simple as adding more smilies must be done by the techs now. Which is WAAAYYY overkill in my opinion. But the owners are paranoid about viruses now. And want to eliminate as many vulnerabilities as possible.

"The more keys you give out to the front door of your home, the more likely you are to be robbed." That's how it was described to me.

Like Space already mentioned, if I was able to do it, the new header would've been installed the same day. I hate that stupid car with half a wheel.

The sooner the new header is installed, the better IMO.

By the way, we're out of 2-ply. Gotta stop at the store on the way into the MCF offices tomorrow morning. Space, how are we for cups for the water cooler? Should I pick up a box? Or are we gonna go with beer instead?
