Info: Looking for informed knowledge from a guru
I bought my 2002 SS used. Its easy to tell that it was repainted.
The instrument cluster has the red bowtie and "Limited Edition" printed on it. I am under the impression that only pace cars and signature series cars had this stuff printed on the cluster.
It's easy to assume that a previous owner replaced the panel with a "junkyard find" or a swap meet panel, BUT the window sticker specifically says "red bowtie emblem in instrument panel."
Can anybody definitively tell me what the hell's going on???
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!

The high sport SS models also have the limited edition clusters, not just the signature and pace cars. Mine is neither of those and I have the limited edition cluster. If your car has the silver trim around the bottom or just the trim period your car is a high sport and technically limited edition. Sorry if that is confusing.
