07 Monte Carlo. No lights, bad transmission?
Hi,
I have an 07 Monte Carlo 5.3 (picrelated) that doesn't wanna shift.
By this I mean, when I put it in drive and take off, the car is very low power for a little while (doesn't take off when I step on the gas) then, after I put some gas into it, it lags, shifts, and and then runs like normal.
I thought my transmission was bad, but no engine light came on. I thought maybe an issue with the light itself. When I take it to the shop there are no codes on the car.
So I decided to replace the ignition coils and sparks. Still did not resolve the issue.
Is this normal? If the transmission was actually bad, shouldn't it trip a code?
Is there another thread with a similar issue, I could not find one, but I don't wanna put money guessing what the issue is, especially if it's just a computer or something minor.
Thanks
