Question Transmission Issue?

I just purchased an 07 SS and I recently noticed a noise at times I hit the gas. I don't ever punch it but even under normal acceleration it's like a tick or a pop. 1 single sound that only is heard when I hit the gas. During higher speeds I can't really hear it but when I'm going about 5-10 MPH and I accelerate I hear it every time. Wondering if this is one of those infamous transmission issues or something else? Transmission feels pretty strong but idk what else it could be. Thanks in advance!

Is there any way to further inspect what it could be? If it was a solenoid wouldn't it throw codes at me? Appreciate the immediate response guys. Not sure if it may have something to do with my steering wheel issue as that always seems to pop when I turn.

An axle huh? I also have the issue of the car vibrating pretty bad when I slow down from highway speeds, could that be a sympton of a bad axle as well?

Vibration could be an axle but most likely brake rotors are warped if your getting a vibration/pulse in the brake pedal when braking. Could also be a strut mount bad and popping while turning or bad wheel bearing. Most times if a solenoid is going bad it will throw a code but not always the case

Steering wheel pop in a turn could be intermediate steering shaft. There's a working spline on the Gen 6's that unpacks itself of its grease and I'm pretty sure the "popping" is just the splines being ungreased. No safety impact, just annoying. Not sure if the 7's have the same part.

Agreed shaking while decelerating is likely warped rotors.

As far as codes, a transmission code may not set the CEL, right? I'm actually going through transmission issues right now and I finally got a Tech2 today. I had a P1811 but it wasn't setting off the CEL.

Correct some "stored codes" will not trip the engine light.

That cracking or popping noise is happening not only during turning but any time I step on the gas or on the brakes. Is that normal?
