wiring amp

RE: wiring amp
I haven't wired any subs into my Monte yet, but if its anything like my Grand Prix, it should be really easy. There should be some holes with plugs in them in the firewall already. Just look underneath and kinda behind the steering column, they should be up there someplace. That's where I ran my power wire anyway, and as far as the ground wire? I just scraped away some paint inside my trunk on the metal and just grounded it to there.

you're gonna have to drill a hole, i looked and looked in my 5th gen and found no hole so i made one, and it is a 2 layer firewall so u drill thru 1 piece of metal then into space then into another piece of metal. if u can find a hole then great if not make sure to use a rubber bushing so the wire doesnt run the metal. and as far as ground thats up to you, plenty of metal in the trunk to attach it to just make sure to use a very clean and tight connection

RE: wiring amp
also can see if you can see a cabel or wires comming threw the fire wall. get a ant. off of the neibors car and push it threw one of the cabels or wires holes int eh fire wall.
then you can tape the amp wire to the end inside the car and pull it back threw the fire wall to the out side and hook it up.
I found a hole in the fire wall and didi this in my 6th gen but itiwas about mid car and way low tot he fire wall.
