Default where to put speakers in 4th gen

ok so my brother that passed used to have a $2000 speaker system in his monte carlo ss i dont remember where he had the speakers but i was wondering where i would put them..cuz if i put them in the trunk wouldnt i not be able to hear them....but there are 2 factory speakers in the trunk right behind the rear seats and you can hear them back there...but i want to hear them when im driving ill take a pic of where they are here in a second...there are i think 6 speakers 1 subwoofer and a bazooka amp...i will be picking the system up at my moms house this weekend and will take pictures of it and post them on this thread ....would like some suggestions though (keep in mind i do not want to rip up the interior just to install speakers)
Thanks,
Jim

yea but i want it so it looks stock but then i have a speaker system.... i think when i go to paint the car ill go in the shop a little early and just check out to see if the speakers work nicely in the back or if i should replace the stock ones in front and then replace the 2 stock ones in back with 2 then idk what id do with the last 2...i know were the amp is going its going to be all the way on the left in the trunk i can make a little mount for it so it wont bounce and stuff but idk what im going to do about the sub

if you could list the size of the speakers you have, it would help greatly. also some pics might not be to bad either..

You can get kicker panels or you can have them made. There are also lower door panels you can buy. If his was an SS it more than likely had a console shifter and you can get kicker panels for the console as well.

It is hard to find speakers to fit the front, i found some Infinity 3 1/2 inch to fit with only one problem, new speakers were to tall to fit under stock speaker cover, so with a little work with a dremel tool i cut the center of cover so speaker would fit. (i'll get a pic on one of my albums to show the minor change in front speaker cover). I recently got my 87 SS and when i replaced the back speakers there was an "adapter" to mount a 6x9 and still fit with out cutting thru the back deck. (i'll try and get a pic of that on photo album as well). I hope this helps. I got 5 pics in a album called speakers. i dont know where the adapters came from for the back, and if you decide to do what i did with the front my only suggestion is take your time.
