Default USB Ports

Since everything takes USB now I was thinking about adding like 2-3 USB ports in the car. Maybe 2 in the front (driver/pass) and maybe one in the back. Anyone did this or thought of it? If someone else has done it I would love to see how it turned out.

What are you trying to do with them? Do you want to be able to play music off a flash-drive through your radio? Or do you just want to be able to charge something off a USB port?

I just wanna be able to charge something. They sell things that plug into the cig lighter but I dont like those big adapters hanging out the cig lighter. Thats why I would rather mold some into the console somewhere.

Add powered USB ports to your car, including one on the top dash for windshield mounted items (a yaris in this case but electronics applicable to all cars)

this is not a Monte, but it may help you to understand the level of difficulty in adding powered USB ports.

the simple way is to run an inverter to power an old laptop under the pass. seat, from there you can charge your IPOD/Phone...with a PC the possibilities are endless...
