sup problems
ok so i have 2 10" mtx 7500 in a ported box and an alpine v12 amp... think its 1000 watts maybe 1200 (kinda busy inbetween classes) ill check later but dont think its to important. so on the way to south padre last week my subs just went out so i pulled over and checked all my connections and they still didnt work so i just went to padre and now that ive sobered up and everything im trying to figure out what happened. to check and see if it was my amp or just my subs i got my old truck sub mtx 5500 10" and it worked like a charm. I took my subs out the box and checked to see if they would work at all i just about tryed everything...it has to be something in the sub its not the wires and the subs arent froozen up they still move freely. any ideas??? o yeah and as long as i dont crank it up to high i should be fine runnin my one 10" 5500 right??? well it sounded good as hell and its in a sealed box when i had it just sittin in my back seat so as long as i dont turn it up it shouldnt be a problem for now right... ii cant deal with no bass so i hope i can get an ok so i can at least have a lil ill probly turn my bass all the way down so i dont over power it unless some one chimes in and tells me how stupid an idea it is.

RE: sup problems
put a new fuse in the amp and see if it pops. if the fuse pops the amp is fried. do this without it connected to your subs so u dont short them out when it pops. if the fuse doesn't pop u need to check the subs, just cuz they move doesnt mean they arnt fried.

RE: sup problems
if your radio isnt working its your radio fuse which it wouldnt work at all. But i would diffinatly chaeck all your fuses and especially the one under the hood, because when my system dies its normally that one. I would suggest running multiple fuse on the power wire before it reaches the amp the protect it better. Just a suggestion
