I have an 02 monte ss. It has the radio settings where you can rest the oil, tire pressure etc... I have reset my fob horn settings several times and made sure they were saved, when I leave the car, press the fob, the horn sounds, but when I come back later the settings are cleared. Am I doing something wrong or is there a problem?

 

When you're programming the audible verification is there an asterisk next to MODE 3 (1 chirp lock/2 chirps unlock)? When the asterisk is set for Mode 3 are you pressing the TUNE/DISPLAY button until you hear a chime to verify your selection was accepted?

 

I have verified this that I am doing this correct. I have no idea why the Fob chirps are not saving after say a few hours of the car not being in use. anyone else have any ideas why this is not working properly?
