Default starting problem

I finally got a transmission for my 77 Monte Carlo. Cruised it for 3 days and on the third day when I pulled into my driveway and turned it off it would not start up the starter would not turn over at all. I replace the starter and still the car won't turn over. What could have cause this I have a good battery. Could it be the alternator or maybe the ignition.

first did you check the starter sylenoid I know that can cause it not to start. my truck did the same thing. when I replaced that it started right up.

if that is ok can you free spin the motor with a breaker bar and socket. it will show if every thing is still spinning.

also are you getting proper fuel pressure and did you check if it is getting spark. as in is the coil the stock one as well as the cap and rotor. check the wires for the coil for the ignition if it has a bad conection it will act like it wont start as well

OK I found out it was the neutral safety switch but the one I have is for a floor shifter and only has four spots where the wires go and all the ones at the parts stores have five. Also I've got wires coming off my transmission where do those hook up to.
