So I was driving home with my system cranked. Unfortunately being very new to this i screwed up where i put the remote so for now i have to unplug it everytime I turn off the car and plug it back in when I'm leaving... Well... The remote wire fell out... To make things worse it fell and hit the ground... My deck shut off and it won't turn on or anything... I'm hoping I just blew a fuse but dont know which fuse it is; I'll be looking for that now... What's the extent of damage I may have cost? Also; a friend told me I can tap into the factory amp for the speakers and run my remote from there. Any idea which wire it would be? As is I am running my factory deck but am saving up for a new one.

 

Most likely just blew the fuse for the radio, I doubt it's anything serious.

For your remote wire, just tap into the radio fuse in the fuse box on the driver side, keep it simple.

 

Probably the radio fuse, should be on the passenger side fuse box if i remember correctly.
