im guessin that the rev limiter is controlled by the pcm but im not positive...could ne1 tell me if reprogramming the pcm will "get rid" of it or at least change it?

yep you would be right in that guess.
and yes reprogramming can change or remove it. the trick is to find the right programmer if you dont have one . You might also beabel to get a reprogramed PCM threw ZZ preformance (thanks to Rich telling me about them)
But they can be done with or with out the rev. limiter. I also knwo the hypertech i have will allow you to take it out. and it being what it is i would guess that others will have that same option Also

The PCM's at ZZP have the rev limiter jacked up and I think you can special request them as well.

Also HPTuners makes the best tuner available to adjust a ton of options on the car including fuel trim levels.

may i ask why you want to remove the limiter? its not like your shift points will change by removing the limiter alone.... and if your thinking about showing off and reving in P or N your asking for damaging the trany.

yah i know that its not good for it, just wanted to know if pcm reprogrammin did it as well...one thing i dont get is that when im not movin and i rev the engine the limiter kicks in but once im driving i can shift into neutral and the limiter doesnt stop it...is it due to the fact that the pcm doesnt recognize that the engine has been shifted into neutral or is it for the cars health and the limiter would slow the rpms too quickly
