Replacing radio/stock amp
#4
"its rated @ 50 watts per channel"
For starters your aftermarket HU won't put out more than 17.5 watts per channel so it should be ok as long as you run it straight through the speakers. If you want to use the factory amp you can, but it will need an adapter. For example:

You should get in contact with PAC to make sure that this adapter can be used in your car, just to make sure, but in all likelihood it should work. If you have onstar, and you still want it to work, make sure you get assurance from PAC that it will work, or if another adapter will be needed as well.

Yea I know its not a true 50 watt stereo but I was hoping I could run it thru the stock amp for a short time. I guess the best way is to patch the speakers at the stock amp when it is bypassed. Does anyone have the wiring codes (wire colors) for this?

Yes, you can use the factory amp still, you just need an OEM integration harness
