Default Replace/Repair Cracked Dash

Hey, I have 2001 Monte SS, and a week ago I noticed a small horizontal crack, about 2 inches long, just above the ignition. It is about half an inch above the rubberized square surrounding the ignition, running parallel with the top side of the rubberized square. (I hope this gives an adequate impression of which part I'm talking about.)

Anyway, now the crack is getting longer, and is almost to the stereo deck. I'm really not sure how the crack got their in the first place, and it is really starting to bother me. I'm wondering...

A: How can I stop it from getting bigger?
B: Is there anyway I can repair the crack without replacing the whole dash panel?
C: If I do have to replace it, where can I find a replacement (online)? My ebay and google searches weren't helpful, and I have a feeling the piece will be WAY overpriced at a dealership. The junkyards around here are a no-go.
D: How much money am I looking at spending?

Thanks everyone.

as far as stopping the crack, cant help you. but u can always buy a dashmat. and if u do get a new dash the dashmat is still a great investment

I already have a dash mat. The crack isn't on top where the dash mat goes, it is directly above the ignition.

check out your local junkyards.
a few weeks ago the one by my house got in a 00-05 ss that has most of it's interior (leather) intact and a "nascar" spoiler still on. the dash looked good besides the hack job from a stereo. could've been sanded out but it would bother me.
i wouldn't try fixing it cus more than likely it'll end up looking worse.
