Default Remote for oem settings

Okay so I know what your thinking...another remote thread? No not really, I tried googling and searching but I just need a simple answer..

With 2006-2007, on our oem radios I can keep the radio playing unless the door on the driver side is opened, now with a aftermarket radio I haven't found that setting yet, I was wondering if anyone has, and if anyone has found a remote wire for this setting specifically. If not then I'm okay and my system is golden already, just wanted this simple improvement incase I switch it up.

Thanks

What exactly is your issue? Does it turn off right when you turn the key off or what?

More information would help, I'm kind of confused as to what you're looking for help on lol

I think what you are referring to is the Retained Accessory Power feature. It provides power for something like 10 minutes after you shut the engine off as long as you don't open a door. You may have lost this feature when you replaced the OE radio.

Exactly! Basically in my car with the oem radio, I can turn the ignition off and power stops from the car, or well my car is turned off, however my radio stays on until I open my driver door, then the power is absolutely off.

I was wondering if anyone found a way around losing that option with aftermarket radios or if its even possible? Because if not ill re wire my amp remote and be golden without killing my battery lol.

You can run to the accessory fuse for the power.. that should turn off when the key is turned off.

Acc time for my car is when the car is off and key is pulled out, if I turn my ignition off with a Aftermarket radio it cuts the power to the radio since its wired to my ignition. My acc's in the car fuses are constant and will keep the power of the radio & my amp on which kills my battery. If I turn my key over once to power up everything, and I leave it on, my battery dies as well. lol Ive been wiring stuff for quite awhile.

I was just wondering since there are kits to get the OEM dinging back, if it was a kit for that option back, but it looks like its just oem radio.
