My remote for my 2006 monte just gave up I bought a battery and nothing the menu saying to reset on my drivers screen doesn't help does any one know how to go about it.

 

i dont know how to reset it, but there was a tsb for the remote start on the 06/07 montes. i had mine replaced by the dealer for super low range im talking 5ft. you dont have a cel on do you. if you do the remote start is automatically disabled.

 

I am not sure how GM does theirs but I am a Chrysler Tech and ours need to be programmed with our Chrysler scan tool. You may have to go to a Chevy dealer so it can be programmed.

 

Yeah ive tried a sequence saying to hold both lock and unlock button for 15 sec until you hear a chime ive done it before maybe its a fuse or a sensor but it doesnt work theres a setting in the drivers info screen sayin to press check mark to relearn key remote but it just blinks when i hit it.
