Racing Seats???
Quiet the oposite imo, on the street a lot more than 0-60 counts, the 60-100 or 30-100 is very important and probably more so. A lot of races will be 30 rolls or 60 rolls if your on a long open stretch. Not that I don't prefer V8's but johns monte would make a more than adequate street racer. And I would kill to drive it haha.
A Nissan maxima that is stock laugh at my setup? Ha OK.. you either don't know what mods do to these cads or you like to hate either way I'm done with this conversation its useless.
And a street car that you race in my eyes is a car that performs well at all ranges of speed and also handles, don't need a desert to do 120 either, I've done 158 on my local highway..... I've also ate a lot of v8's and subbys along with getting beat by subbys and v8's and also lancer evo's.
I'm not here to say my car is the best by no means but it is quick and will most def beat a maxima lololol

I have seen John's Monte in person. He definitely has a lot of money/time/knowledge into "go fast" parts on it. His
I have not seen it at the track, but he's had videos up of it before. It's a quick machine (not the fastest, but defiantly not a run of the mill ride).
Now, I got curious.... Currently on John's signature, his info is listed as follows:
I hit Google and went looking for stock Maxima stats and here's what I found (and where I found it):
Top Sleeper Cars 0-60 & Quarter Mile Times | List of Fast Sleeper Car Stats, Fastest Sleeper cars vs, Sleeper cars race
0-60 and 1/4 mile times for - Nissan, Opel, Oldsmobile | ToTheFLOOR.com
And the Google search goes on and on. The bottom line, comparing the stats John has posted in his signature, I cannot find a stat for a stock Maxima that beats that.
Going fast just takes money. I'm certain there are some mods out there that would best John's Monte (but that was not the argument being made, it was John's build vs a stock Maxima).
Now, let's get back to enjoying the last few days of shopping before Christmas (and we can all ask Santa for some "go fast" parts)

No prob man, its one thing to have an opinion but this guy is trying to call you out and ask for "proof" when he has yet to say anything substantiated. And to him, your ibput is aprreciated but not if its attacking another member. You sound like a guy who doesn't know as much about cars as all the guys on this website do, I suggest instead of trying to attack some you learn from them, even if your opi ion differs completely their is still alit any of us could learn from John, or jason or david. They have all helped me numerous times weathet they know it or not and theur love and expertise for their cars shows in theur builds.
Edit: also, a 3.8L V6. That's not insane but if you know about engines you know that's big, the biggest drawbacks on this car for performance are the transmission and the way its engineered. Its designed with huge safety margines so as to be "bullet proof" look at what ford has done with the 4.0 V8 you are seing a crazy amount of horsepower coming from thoes and geuss what? The two extra cylinders mainly contribute to torque, (basic physics, more cylinders more leverage more torque) but this is a high torque engine. An argument could be made for this engine to stand up to alot of V8's. Not all V8's are gms 6.0 ls2 monster engine. Basically the reason mods do so much to this car Is beacyse the engine could handle it but it would have been more expensive and less reliable from the factory. Honestly Johns build is what we all wish the 3800 had been from the factory.

I'm just saying this is rediculious and to please let it drop. You said the hijack was Ok but its not even your thread.
