Default Put aftermarket radio in the '00 Monte SS

Purchased an Axxess steering button interface, PAC GMOS-04 harness and data bus controller. Added a JVC head end. First thing instructions said was to cut the unused wires and tape off ends. Used heat shrink instead, ha ha. Third pic is the wiring harness put together and ready to go.

Default Adding the receiver.

Soldering station all set up. Yes the glass of wine is a necessary part of the setup. Middle pic is of the receiver, wiring and controls soldered up and ready to go into the Monte so..... tore the old stuff out!

Default Installing it in the car.

Had to modify the plastic piece in the back of the dash box so a longer head unit would fit. Hooked up all the wiring and programmed the steering wheel controls. Everything tested good so started putting it all together.

Default Finishing up.

First pic she's all together again and just needs a good clean up!

The button colors and display color are separately programmable. What colors should I go with??

Default Thanks

Sound is ok so far but could be improved with replacing the factory amp and speakers when I can. It has iPod and USB inputs and CD but most of the time I use the radio so the HD radio is nice. Maybe next week I'll get a chance to tackle the new leather for the front seats. Red and black materials are in and my friend who is an upholsterer is sewing things up, I'm just the labor supply
