Default Problem fitting pioneer headunit into dash. 2004 monte

i bought a single DIN pioneer mvh 8100bt headunit for my 04 monte. i wire everything up thinking im done. I go to place my dash back on and i relize the hole in the dash isnt big enough! on crutchfield it says it would fit my car which it does but the headunit is too wide and doesnt have enough clearance by about a couple cenimeters. Any tips on what to do?

Yes i do have that. it fits in the dash kit and botls up perfectly. but that big long peice of dash that you have to take off to reach the radio...that it what is too small.

The hole were the radio goes in. there is no way it should be for a single din. do you have pics.. Im kinda confused to.

Are you sure you snapped the dash back in properly all the way and didn't miss any snap in pins. make sure to get the one below the HVAC controls and above the Head Unit area and around the Hazard button.. and dont forget to connect the hazard button. to push the pins in just give it a mild slam around the those areas. That dash piece should touch the HVAC control area, should be NO gap

Missing some of those pins will not align the dash correctly and so the hole will not be centered correctly so it may appear that its to small when it is not.
