6th Gen ('00-'05): Power amp wire

And when at all possible, run the POWER cable directly off the/a battery.
Something else to keep in mind: For the overall best results, run both POSITIVE & GROUND cables from front to rear. Additionally, if good quality cable(s) & interconnects are being used, you CAN run BOTH cables & your RCAs & remote wire alongside each other with zero interference. Zero. I even have 2 sets of speaker cables, for door components, running with them up the PASS side in the El Camino, & will do the same in the 'Carlo ...

Pull up your passenger side carpet and the black mat thingy and you will see a rubber square. Pull that rubber thing until it comes out and run the wire there. The wire will come up right by the firewall where you can secure it and connect it to the fuse box or battery. Dont forget to put the rubber piece back, I used a rubber mallet to tap it to get a good seal. I dont like running wires through doors, especially a power wire...

@Warhorse: Asking because for safety every power cable needs to have fused/break't protection at the beginning & end of the run ... & not just rely on the onbaord fuses/cuircutry of the amp(s) for overall protection if there is a short between the fuse under the hood, & the next component ... which in your case appears to be the CAP.
Ideally = BATT, then between 12"-18" to the FIRST fuse/breaker, then however long your run of cable, then right back into another fuse/breaker, before a distribution block, if you are running one. Then no more than another 12"-18" to the CAP, then 10" or LESS from the CAP directly to the AMP(s).
