Why was the battery disconnected? Did you do any work or repairs to the car while it was?

Is it just your lighting system? Or all of the electrical? (Check HVAC, Radio, etc)

When you disconnected the battery did you take the negative off first?

Do you have the negative and positive hooked up to the correct terminals right now?

This would be so much easier if this wasn't all run-on sentences with no capitalization and punctuation.

So the lights are your only problems? Do the low beams work? If the battery fried something I would think you'd be having interior electrical problems, too.

Your problems could be unrelated to the battery. The multi-function switch and hazard relay could be shot, meaning no turn signals or hazards as well as no high beams.

Screwing the battery up can screw up your BCM, which would explain the electrical problems, but as I said, there would be more problems then just the exterior lights.
