My window mount Onstar antenna, the upgraded digital unit, came off the window. The tape failed, and the dealer that installed it won't stand behind it. I have repaired it, but can't come up with the right tape. Dealer want's $300 to fix it! Anyone know where I can get the correct tape?
Second, since I have XM, I have the XM roof antenna. What would be involved with the installation of an updated roof mount combination antenna, and eliminate the window mount Onstar antenna? I'm assuming the headliner would have to be dropped. What is involved there? It appears the '07 Monte's Onstar harness is on the passenger side, but mine is on the drivers side.

Not sure about the correct tape but I own an 07 and the onstar unit and the harness is on the drivers side too.

 

How about using instead of the tape, use the rear view mirror glue that the sell in auto parts store .... The tape failed on my mirror and that glue seems to hold like cement, only problem is im not sure how it sould hold up in the weather, but it cant hurt to try that.
