My GPS square 1"x1"x 1/2" is on my dash driver side at the corner of the A pillar and the wind shied it worked best there on my 2001 and I have never lost signal and I don't think it stands out at all there and was easy to hide the wire
mine hands free is built in to the deck so I don't have a switch if I was going ot put a switch in I would put it by the seat heater buttons so I did not have to lean forward or look away from the road to answer the phone
i put my Mic in my rear view mirror where the Onstar Mic was ( I deleted my Onstar so I did not need it in the mirror either )that way it looks stock and there is no visible Mic

I thought about putting the mic there. But im not sure on how big it is so I wasn't 100% set in stone of where I wanted it. Its just the mic that im not sure on. The GPS and the Button thing should work where I want them.

You bet man mine was the same color as the the dash and looks like it belongs there and I had the best reception there before I mounted it I just set the cube in different locations and watched the reception on the deck display and that was my cars sweet spot for the 8 satellites to find the quickest

that looks sweet! how big is that module compared to like an amp? i'm making a custom amp rack and will probably have that or similar and was wondering how big it was to plan out the build.

I can't wait to see the **** and deck in action.

I wonder what the resolution is on the new headunit compared to your old. Would be sweet to have a high def headunit

Thanks..!

That module to adjust the bass input is much smaller that I had anticipated. Its only like 5" x 6" or so (give or take an inch).

As far as the actual resolution I dont really know. it might be in the specs. I just know the screen size is 6.95"

yeah, the bigger screen in general will be pretty sweet. I thought that module would be tiny, but it doesnt sound overly big.

hopefully you take some nice pics, im interested in the resolution of the screen. and just how it will look.

with your old deck did you have to modify anything behind the deck to make it fit?

Nope mounts right in with the dash mount.. It will be lots of wires but it mounts fine.
