New stereo in my 2000 MC SS
Hello everyone,
I'm looking for a new stereo to replace the factory stereo. In a perfect world, this stereo would be a touch screen with a dvd/cd player and gps for under $500. It would be absolutely AMAZING if it had that feature where you push a button and slides out then flips up. I was looking online and I found a couple that kindof sparked my interest, but they didn't have gps.
If anyone knows of anything that might fit the bill, please let me know.

depending on what features your car has in it, onstar/ premium speakers ... etc ... will really determine where you should start rather than what features for what price ...
because no matter how much you get your HU for, youll have to get an install kit and a kit to retain onstar features and door chimes which will run you around another 100 bucks or so ...
seeing as Navigation, to me is not that important of a feature, because i have a standalone gps, and phone with gps ... i would start with the Kenwood DDX516 ... already does everything you want, besides NAV ( which can be added separately later btw ) touch screen, dvd, ipod control ( is awesome )
and i would suggest straying from ones that pop out the screen, thats one more thing to break or for your friends to accidentally kick off while screwing around in your car ... plus, if i remember your interior's correctly, wouldnt it block your central heat/ac vents ???

good luck picking, and theres nothing that says you cant go to a local store, installer ... best buy or something solely to play with the ones they have and see if you like them, and then buy it somewhere else
