Thats pretty clever putting it in the spare tire spot.

I would kinda think twice about not having a spare, but then again, like you said, there is always AAA. Not to mention, many newer cars don't even come with a spare anymore. LOL

Looks like you've got a really nice setup in the making. I always planned on deadening the crap out of my trunk, but I never did. Started to lose interest in the audio system when I started doing go-fast mods.

I gotta say though, 162 dB sounds very optimistic. I would expect something more like high 130s or low 140s when you get it tuned just right.

THANK YOU man i did not have enough room for it all with out pulling the spare out and the sub box is so big that i can not take out / remove with out breaking the fiberglass ports (6x9 locations) out so i would never been able to get the spare tire out if i needed it any how!! LOL i added 400 lbs to the trunk so we had to put in air struts in the back to get the ride hight back to stock

at the shop yesterday we where 158 db and that was before the 4 hr break in was done on the subs (mandatory for the Mtx subs ) we do still have to finish the set up of the sound processor the guy at the stereo shop who does all the db drags and comp in bend,or AND HAS THE DB METER is going to tune it all and he is the on that said 162 db AT THE KICK PANEL is in reach after he tweaks it and i finish the break in period we are burping the system at 45 Hz to hit the 158 db on Monday I CAN GIVE YOU HIS PHONE # IF YOU WOULD LIKE PROF LOL / AND JUST A FYI I COMPETED I CAR AUDIO FOR 5 YEARS AND WAS SPONSORED BY MTX FOR 3 OF THEM JUST TO GIVE YOU ALL A IDEA
