Default Line Out Converter (I know this has been asked)

Okay, here is the thing, I have read the threads on the LOC installation and I just wanted a summed up explaination of how to install it. I just ordered the Scosche LOC80 and I am waiting for it to arrive and I want a plan down before I go tearing into my car and breaking everything. I know I can wire the LOC to the rear deck speakers, but I have noticed people saying they cant get their amp to shut off when the car is shut off.

Has anyone fixed this issue yet?
And I dont want to hook the power into the battery, but onto the post that the power wire goes to from the battery. (I cant remember the name of it for the life of me.) Good idea?

I'm just nervous about tearing into my daily driver like this. I've owned the car for.....36 hours now. lol. Its an 02 btw if that helps.

Thanks guys!

Do you have a factory amp under the rear deck lid?

Yeah, it has two different sets of wires. Idk if I should tap into the deck speakers or to the wires sending the signal into the amp, or even what one that is. I'll load a pic if you need it.

I would tap suggest tapping into the singnal wire and not the output from the factory amp but I can not find the input colors

Here is the diagram I have on file for the outputs. I am sure it is fine to attach to the output. I would suggest if your amp has a Speaker Level in use that and not the LOC box.
