Blue lighting will get you pulled over.

Even if it's bright enough on the license? Dang.

Maybe I will get that LED strip you got Frank, what did you have to do to the wiring? Just clip the connector and solder the wires to the led strips or did you need some kind of resistor?

Its the color not the brightness. I had a blue tag light for a year and they got me one night.. Just a warning but not worth it to me anymore.. Just remember its not a matter of "if" its a matter of when! :p.

You can't have blue or red. These are for emergency vehicles. I've seen green lights on the windshield wipers before.

I wouldn't risk it though, do some bright LEDs like Frank.

Well, counted my losses (A wopping $4) and ordered the same LEDs as Frank, should look nice.

Was going to order a couple sets so I can put them inside to replace the feet courtesy lights, but I had a question about the LEDs, I'm no electrician, but I am pretty sure some LEDs don't dim? If I were to get some of these led strips and replace my foot lights with them would they just flash on when the dimmer gets to a certain level or will they fade in and out like the incandescent?

Hmm, maybe I could even get a couple and attach them to the bottom of the door panels so I could have step lights. (Does any Monte have these or just reflectors?) Would need to check clearance..

So, finally got my strips in and got them wired up. Looks good to me! (Got some nice Chevy frames in today for the license plate to cover up the rust, and I need to clean the plates too..)

Thanks for recommending them Frank, their so cheap to, and great quality. I'm going to get some more to replace my foot lights and maybe even rig up some courtesy lights on the door.

They looks good! I like them much better than the blue you had. Kinda thought the same thing others said when I'd seen them too.

Thanks Yeah I really didn't like the blue either, not only would it of been illegal for being it's shade but it wasn't nearly bright enough. The image on the eBay page was very misleading.
