Aren't the bulbs H11s? They were on my 08 impala, so I figured they would be the same on the monte given the similarities.

If you've got some kind of aftermarket headlights, then you could be running into tolerance/ design issues. There are specs for the allowable sizes of a given bulb, but its possible an aftermarket company may have designed it around an actual bulb and not the spec. If thats the case, I'd probably take a known fitting bulb down to the parts store to compare sizes in the area the replacement is hitting.

So you've got aftermarket headlights that take H1s instead, but the replacement H1 bulb you bought doesn't fit?

Id take the bulb that came with it down to the parts store and compare to the other H1 replacements to see if there are others that match its size in that area. Sounds like a design issue with the headlight to me (i.e. they designed it around one actual bulb instead of designing to the spec envelope for that bulb size).

It was more of the design of the led h1 type it's weird honest becaus of how the led types. Autozone advance and all sell those just dont let it attatch right it would break the tab mount on it. I did find some on ebay that are exact like thw og style. I was just asking if any one has got that type. The headlight aftermarket angel eye and stock type are exactly the same except the fenders for the imps. Sedan and coup are a little different at the door meets the fender.

I have an aftermarket set of lights that I put Torchbeam T2 H11 LED Bulbs into, and they work great. They also reflect some red through the light, which is also very cool.

Don't think of most aftermarket headlights as a permanent fix, though. Those lights I got off of Amazon are already getting cloudy after a year and a half. I'm about ready to get another pair... and probably again in a couple years. They do cool stuff with the design and a lot of them look nice, but they don't make them like the originals.
