Default IPC swap?

2004 Monte. 3.4L OHV

Does anyone know if I could switch the instrument cluster from the boring stock one that looks like this:

to the SS one that looks like this?

without rewiring anything?

reprogramming the IPC isnt a big deal i just dont want to hack into wiring.

It's a direct swap (no wiring), however, the oil pressure gauge will not work with the 3.4L (and short of hacking an analog oil pressure gauge into the PCB, there is no way to get it working)

You will also need to have your mileage programmed into the new cluster (I offer the programming service as well as complete clusters)

Chevy (or any GM) dealers can't program used clusters... and I'm not 100% sure they can actually program new ones either

I did this for an Impala owner w/ a 3.4L

thats actually really cool. nice work!

ive programmed 4 or 5 new ones...you go through GM's crappy programming software and at some point it asks you for the mileage and sometimes engine hours and/or oil life. never programmed a used one or tried to

Have you programmed a 2000-2005 Monte or Impala cluster? I was pretty sure they couldn't be programmed via Tech-II/SPS or MDDI... but that may have changed

the electrical schematic shows the voltmeter gauge only on the models with the oil pressure gauge.....will the voltmeter work with an LS model?
