Has anyone installed a ipad or tablet in there MC?

 

Ive seen it done in a few cars but nvr a monte, seems like it be a distraction more than anything

 

I dont think it would really be a "distraction". It wouldnt be any different than having a double din installed.

 

It is though, i have a double din in my car its not distracting but ipads & tablets are bigger with brighter scrrens, just a passenger in the car with one is distracting

 

It's states above that you need more `space 4 Fun..
I don't know `if there's enough space in a Monte Carlo for driving & entertainment at the same time

I just make driving a Monte Carlo a entertainment event by keep'in it in top shape & invest my $'s into performance modifications & keeping it safe with good tires/brakes/suspension etc.

I guess `if I didn't have a crib & had to live in a `Monte , then I would consider putting these devices in2 a Monte...I'm sorry I could not help..I don't have any of those devices...Let us know what you `do..

It's been done.... But what's the point? If anything get a normal stereo and mount the iPad in front of it... instead of having an iPad that you can barely use and is basically stuck in your car.

I agree with Mike, it's distracting and you'd probably be better off with a double din

 

I've an Asus TF101 in mine.. Uses:
-Music
-GPS
-OBDII adapter
-Movies (bored passengers)

I'll upload a video of it later. I have it in my 6th Gen.

 

I agree with others, not a great idea imo. Double din radio and keep the tablet out of the car, you'd get more use out of it.

 

I like the idea but I dont really see any advantages to it.
