Default iPad in dash

I have been watching many videos about people putting iPads in their dash. If you search YouTube for sound man. He has done some amazing things with iPads. I'm thinking about getting a dash from eBay or a junk yard and relocating my heating controls to the little cubbyhole under where they are now. And then putting my aftermarket cd player somewhere else. Im going to work on some Photoshop images and see what I can come up with. Whatcha guys think?

it'll work as long as you do it right. look around youtube even more, theirs sombody who did one with a motorized pannel that pops out by the push of a button and lets you slide it out sideways that way you can have it look like its built into the dash but thats extreram, probobly better off just cutting out a slide down slot. i cant wait to see some pictures

So I just finished putting it in today. I have a few minor things to do to make it look more flush. I already am in love with it!! It is ridiculously cool! I will post pictures tonight!

I would like to see that too! I was thinking about doing something like that in my 96 monte.

I'm interested to know what all you could do with it. Music, video, wifi, tuning. it seems pretty cool just wondering what all could be done.

ya lets see these pics, i was actually planning somethin like it after i saw buddy on youtube do it the weekend the ipad came out but i wanna use an hp slate, it's got usb's and hdmi's and esata plugs, i was plannin on mounting an external hard drive in the glove box or trunk or somethin too, all digital no cd's to skip or get scratched but i still wanna figure some way to get a dvd changer in there too, u know just in case, and i was actually thinkin instead of moving the climate controls integrate them into the ipad so u just use the screen to control everything, just a thought
