is it hard to get the door panels off a 98 monte and get speakers out?

 

i have an 02 and havent seen your door panel but chances are its just a few screws

 

its not hard at all. inmy 06 its 2 torx screws, i small philips and a bunch of clips. yours should be two in the center. possibly one up top by the mirror. and then pull and lift upward at the same time. if it feels like theres still something holdint it check behind door lights, any covers by the locks or door handle.

 

In my 98 it had 4 screws around the edges of the door panel, one torx under that trim piece above the handle to open the door, and 1 screw in the sail panel. Once you get all the screws out, lift up, and the panel should lift up and off. Just unplug any wires and there you go.
