I am attempting to replace the speakers in the doors of my 1998 monte, they are originally 5.25 inch speakers and I really would like to upgrade the size to at least 6.5 inches. I just want to see if the original mount could be modified or if anyone could tell me where to find another bracket. Also, if you know of another size of speaker that can fit in the door easily without many modifications to the door please give it as a suggestion.

 

Do you have a dremel? if you do, you can make it fit, otherwise i've seen people make the mounts out of wood and it worked good
