Default Installing Aftermarket radio Help!

Okay so I have a 2002 Monte Carlo SS with on star and an amplifier in the trunk. I am very knowledgeable with wiring, but I dont know what all I need, or what I do not need to get the job done. I have uploaded pictures of the stereo that I purchased, and it also comes with the steering control harness with the radio also. If anyone could give me some advice I would greatly appreciate it. Also I am not too worried if on star is active or disabled. and Im not all sure about what would happen or the results of not having the chimes active?

I used one I bought from walmart. I believe it is this one. Scosche GM2000 Class II Car Stereo Replacement Interface Module and Harness - Walmart.com
I have had it for three years since I put in my aftermarket radio in it and have had no problems with it.
