So I got my MC used from a dealer and one of the things I noticed after a month or so was the driver side panel doen't match up with the dash. I took it back 3 times to have them fix it but it's still the same, finally I point out where the issue is and the body shop tells me that's just how it is. My salesman says there's no other MCs on the lot for him to compare it to so he can't really tell the body shop to do anything...so now I turn to my MCF friends. How does your driver's side dash look?

To me it doesn't look right. Give me about ten minutes and I can go look though.

 

to me it looks like ur passenger side gap is too tight
i just went out to check mine right now and the gap is about 3/8 on both sides, looks just like ur driver's side

How does the outside door line up / fender ?

 

I agree with the 3/8th inch estimate, but I am going to say that both gaps on your vehicle are off. Mine have about a 3/8th of an inch gap on both sides. To me, it looks like your driver side is too far and the passenger side is too close. It may just be the plastic cover on your A-Pillar. I know the heat last summer wreaked havoc on my interior. I even had to push the center of my dashboard back down after it popped out of it's clips. Good luck and don't accept the "that's just how it is" answer.

 

Everything on the outside lines up nicely. Spacing is fine between the dorr and fender and the door and the bottom frame too

 

or maybe had some work done and dash taken out prior to u owing it? replacing heater core maybe?

 

I'd pull up a report on the vin, it was probably in an accident. i woudln't be fretting over it as long as the doors not binding or anything else to be honest.

 

i looked at mine and both side look like the way your driver side looked, but my car has been in an accident or two on the driver and passenger side, i never paid attention befor the accident tho
